Similiar to the WiseGuard ICS, the SCS is designed for intersections without a traffic signal. The SCS is a smart crossing guard that offers non-line-of-sight awareness to pedestrians crossing the street. We use bright LED indicators to let users will know whether it’s safe to cross.
The SCS can easily transform any conventional traffic light, road sign, or intersection into a smart one which tracks people and vehicles to prevent accidents. Visual alerts (bright LEDs), as well as wireless alerts to surrounding vehicle safety systems notify those involved.
You can’t see things out of your line of sight, but we can. When a cyclist or person approaches an intersection, the SCS will evaluate the situation. In the case of an inevitable collision, we automatically alert nearby vehicle safety / ADAS technology systems
The SCS can tap into existing pedestrian pushbuttons used to bring up the walking signal and automatically activate it by evaluating the intended street a pedestrian would like to cross. Only 50% of pedestrians use this system, and cross dangerously instead.
